We are hoping that we can expand the Sighthound Strolls outside of Dublin. As much as I would love to travel the country organising walks, life gets in the way so I can only organise the Dublin walks. However, we would love to work with others to organised countrywide walks. If you own a sighthound and can't make it to Dublin for the walks but would be interested in organising walks in your own area in order to meet fellow sighthound owners and help promote sighthounds as pets, then post on this thread stating the part of the country you are in and hopefully we can get the ball rolling. Further information on running a Sighthound Stroll can be found here. www.sighthound-strolls.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=lw&action=display&thread=15

Hi Jane Congrats on the new forum. We are in county Limerick and would love to organise something at this end of the country for sighthounders from Co. Limerick or County Cork. All the best for your new venture Siobhan & Ally, Robin and Lily

Great stuff! I'll be in touch in the next few days and we'll get brainstorming on organising and promoting a Limerick/Cork walk

Im in Co.Tyrone and would love to hold a walk in the future. I had a small walk last month as part of the great british greyhound walk 2011, but despite a lot of work promoting the walk, only 9 dogs made it on the day. I haven't been put off though and it can only get bigger and better. Ive already made some more contacts since then:)

We were just so thrilled that you wanted to give it a go. Our greyhound walks in East Anglia started in 2006 with 6 dogs, and now we regualrly have 40+ and our record is over 200 at our New Years Day walk, so watch out ... from little acorns etc. etc. Anything we can do to help please let us know
