Sky is an approx 2 year old female whippet. She has been in foster for a couple of weeks now and has settled well. She is quiet in the house, loves her walks, but especially loves sleeping on the sofa! She walks well on the lead, has good recall in a secure area, travels well in the car, is house trained and settles well at night with the dogs in her foster home.
She bonds very quickly with people and as such we would like to see her in a home where she gets to spend lots of time with her owner. She could be an only dog but we would ideally love her to have another dog for company. Skys favourite past time, apart from snoozing, is retrieving balls and who knows, maybe shed be a good candidate for some fun agility in the future!
Sky is not suited to living with cats and would be best suited to living with older children (12+). Sky is an affectionate girl who once she settles in her forever home would be a wonderful addition to the right family. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Home visit applies and any garden must be secure.

Heres what her foster mum has to say about her:
'Sky has only been in foster two weeks. She is very quiet in the house; after walks she is happy to sleep quietly on the sofa, only getting up for food or cuddles. She sleeps soundly the entire night with my two dogs and gets up at 7 or 8am. She walks perfectly on a lead. Off lead she stays by my side or comes when I say come on. She is still learning the name Sky. She is house-trained. She eats well and has a good appetite. She would not be suitable to living with a cat.
She is very devoted to me in just two weeks. She is slowly bonding with my two dogs but her main attention is to her master. She gets along well with children 9 years or older. She would be okay as an only dog but I would prefer to see her in a household with another dog. Her timidness could become anxiety and in the long run she would be more secure if she bonded with another dog. She has shown a little separation anxiety but in just two weeks it is practically gone.
Sky is amazing at retrieving balls. She races after the ball, collects it and brings it back immediately. This is great fun and good exercise for her and probably the happiest Ive seen her so far! What she needs most now is to know she has a forever home. We dont know Skys history but she has a number of scars on her ears, her chin and her legs. She has given me her whole-hearted appreciation for being able to stay with us. Sky is a well-mannered, sweet, affectionate, obedient girl who I am hoping one day will feel secure enough to show a little naughtiness'
