I thought it might be nice to have an ongoing thread where I will post photos/details of dogs that we are helping. I will post details and photos of them when they first arrive, updates on how they are progressing at the rescue or in foster and best of all updates on them in their new homes ;D

First up is Fleur who came into rescue before Christmas in poor shape and with some mange. Poor Fleur was extremely nervous when she first arrived in and was very shut down. Once she had done in time in isolation, it became apparent that she gained confidence from being around other dogs and we had the perfect foster offer from Patricia for Fleur to go and stay with her in her quiet household with her two older greyhound girls. Patricia said that within a few hours of arriving, it was like Fleur had always been in a house and was loving her comforts. She really enjoyed her first walk with Patricia and girls at the beach, although has decided like every girl should that she won't walk in the rain unless she is suitably dressed. She has become really playful with Patricia's girls and we are thrilled wither her progress so far. Fleur is not quite ready for her forever home yet. Enjoying foster life

Next up is Hugo the little whippet x who has been looking for his new home for a few months now. Hugo is a lovely friendly boy who loves people and other dogs. He doesn't much like cats though! When Hugo first arrived at the rescue he was a bundle of energy however he is beginning to calm down now. He would suit an active home with someone who is willing to put time into training him. I'm waiting on some updated photos of Hugo which I will post here soon

Nell is a beautiful 5 month old white and blue lurcher pup who came into rescue with her siblings. Sadly some of them passed away Lovely Laurie at Lurcher SOS in the UK took the rest of Nell's surviving siblings and now Nell is the only pup left in Ireland looking for her own home. She is a typcial pup, happy, active, playful and cuddly when tired. She is looking for a home with someone around for most of the day who has time to invest in training her. She will be an active and intelligent dog and is likely to be medium to large when fully grown. She loves other dogs and would love a canine companion in her new home and she is young enough to introduce to cats.

Bono came to Team Lurcher from another rescue and went straight into foster with Vicky and Mark where he has charmed them to the extent that he may not be leaving!! Bono was renamed Yogi in foster as Vicky & Mark's house is a U2 free zone!! He is a young gorgeous goofball who gets on really well with the resident saluki x Queen, otherwise known as Sheba! The two resident huskies aren't too sure what to make of Yogi and his lurchery ways though! Watch this space to see if Yogi ever leaves his lovely foster home.... ;D

A couple of updates. Poor, nervous Alfred will be going into foster next week with Djinn where he will get the tlc and comforts he deserves. Thanks Djinn. Fleur and Kerrie, the lucky girls that they are have been offered a rescue space with Auntie Laurie at LSOS and will be travelling in the next few weeks hopefully If anyone would like to foster Kerrie until she is fully vaccinated and spayed and ready to travel, in order to free up a space for another dog, then please get in touch. Some more lurchers due in tomorrow from a seizure Details to follow. And finally Nell who is still looking for her forever home has mastered 'sit'
